As newly elected Regional Vice Chairman of NaFFAA (National Federation of Filipino American Association) based in Washington DC. NaFFAA is recognized by Washtington policy-makers, private industry and national advocacy group as the Voice of Filipinos and Filipino Americnas throughout the UNited States. It is a non-partisan, non-profit national affiliation of more than five hundred Filipino American institutions and umbrella organizations. It's twelve regions cover the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and the Marianas.

NaFFAA Region IV under Marilyn Doromal chairmanship is currently working an educational(Tutorial) outreach program to under-achieving FilAm students through an educational grant from one of the local banks in the area. Region IV Component States are: Alabama, Florida, Georgia North/South Carolina, Mississippi, Tennessee and Virgin Islands.

Promote Philippine Cultural Arts, research study and appreciation of various cultural and historical facts in Georgia's migratory development and its role in the government's revitalization effort in the South.

* Create a comprehensive strategy to assist ESL students with limited proficiency in spoken and written language.

* International Children's Poetry ad campaign - with the goal to discover unique and potential talent of the young generation (5 - 15 years old) in conveying a vivid and imaginative sense of experience and expression through written and oral communication; to foster literary techniques developing the child's talent, self-confidence and self-worth.

* Literary and Expository Writing for High School students.

* Support the building of the Philippine American Center in Georgia and expand knowledge on its growing cultural richness and diversity.

* Teach young citizens the value of education and character development through:

*Teaching, modeling and practicing the virtues of a morally responsible individual, reinforcing self-respect, self-worth and understanding of other cultures and religion.

*Reinforcing the importance of accountability and strong sense of abidance to the rules, accepting their differences and choices they make.

*Instilling respectful attitude towards adults and authority.

*Encouraging active involvement in programs that will help them mature as literate and contributing individuals of our society.
