K&M TLC 2000 was opened in February 1999 by Marilyn Z. Doromal, a classroom teacher, together with her husband Cesar, in celebration of her 28 years of dedication to the teaching profession. The name K&M TLC as chosen to celebrate the names of her first grandchildren Kaitlyn and Mike, and TLC because of her philosophy of Teaching with Loving Care.

K&M TLC 2000 started with four students from the neighboring school. One student was a "repeater," two were failing, and one student was seeking advanced level tutoring. Before the end of the 1999 school year, all of these students dramatically improved their grades and mastery of academic skills and the K&M TLC 2000 enrollment had grown to 20 students.

K&M TLC 2000 is dedicated to providing quality teaching with each student receiving two full hours of individualized teaching. Following individualized instruction, each student is encouraged to utilize our computer instruction to reinforce the identified and targeted academic skills

Because space and time are limited, each student's progress is monitored by our teachers so that lessons may be discontinued as a skills are mastered. This allows new students to benefit from our program. (Enrollment is limited and available only on a first-come, first-served basis.)
